Product Details

A UNIQUE .22 PROTOTYPE DAYSTATE EXPERIMENTAL 'MINI HUNTSMAN' PRE-CHARGED PNEUMATIC AIR-RIFLE, no visible serial number,
believed circa 1982 and an attempt to reduce the size and weight of the Huntsman model, with chrome-plated 18in. barrel, no provision for fore-sight, vacant dove-tail for a rear-sight, chrome plate Huntsman style receiver with twist and pull bolt, chrome plated air-reservoir, uniquely sculpted replacement beech three-quarter stock of junior proportions and fitted with a leather sling, accompanied by a magazine article on the rifle

Provenance: The exact story behind this diminutive Daystate is not fully known but it was supposedly produced by a foreman at Daystate. The second owner was celebrated Field Target marksman Phil Denny, who wanted a lightweight rifle for his girlfriend to use on the circuit. Sadly, the original stock was cracked and broken, the one currently fitted being an exact replica made by master rifle and stock-maker Mick Dawes.

Please Note: Whilst in working order, this rifle is sold as a collector's item only and not intended for serious use
